NØ SCHOOL Nevers – França – 2019

The collaborative effort of creating a print machine not only exposes the steps needed to think laterally about material relations but also exposes the interdependencies necessary in order to make a functioning object exist. The ReTrash Stamping Machine plays with the limitations and challenges of making a printer from materials found and collected (plastic bottles, wheels, tubes and motors).

Máquina-escultura construída durante participação em laboratório de arte e tecnologia na NØ SCHOOL, uma escola de verão promovida com professores e participantes oriundos de aproximadamente 15 países, durante duas semanas, na cidade de Nevers, no verão francês de 2019. Apresenta um mecanismo precário, porém ao mesmo tempo sofisticado, que se preza tão somente a automatizar uma operação corriqueira e repetitiva: bater um carimbo.
